Overwhelming Nostalgia

Well it looks like Christmas outside here in Pueblo Colorado. I really miss my family, and it would be nice to spend Christmas with them this year. My brother Daniel is stationed in FT. Hood Texas right now and I hope that he has a good Christmas. Merry Christmas mom and dad, and little brothers, I hope that you all have a good Christmas even if we can't all be together. I was getting all nostalgic the other day while i was looking through some of my pictures so i decided to post this old football picture of me. =) Go BEARCATS!!! LOL

Well thats about all i have for this post, If your reading this post then Merry Christmas, may all your presents be full of surprises that you will enjoy. Drink your eggnog and relax and just watch the snow fall. If your unfortunate and there is no snow in your area just imagine the snow. =D

My GOD, Its Full of Stars...

I just wanted to post this beautiful sunset! I took this shot along with many others yesterday evening. It was a race against time to get my camera but I still managed to capture these awesome sunset shots. There are many things that make life worth living and this is one of those things. It just seems impossible that nature accidentally renders this phenomena to us. A mathematician could sit there and argue that there is a mathematical equation that would surely explain why we have beautiful sunsets, but I would probly just tell him to shut up and just appreciate something that needs no explanation.

Enjoy the view.

AHHH Smell that Christmas

Listen to that... do you hear it? Ahhh yes the sound of Radioshack, Sears, and other assorted conglomerates getting their sticky traps ready for another Christmas full of stampeding consumers and jolly fat santa people. Its surely the time of year when cash ruptures from our ass like some kind of particle collider. I look forward to the ass rupturing though, what would our economy do without customers like me that buy really neat things that won't likely make it past new years before it gets broken or outlived.
I can see myself now, window shopping, looking at that shiny new Apple-Peelings disposal unit "Geezus i need that, it will save me hundreds of dollars on apple peelings disposal costs, just THINK of the possiblities!". Well im not actually that gullible but interesting enough during the Christmas season I just tend to feel more spendy. LOL Spendy is a cool word, i just made it up. If it's already a word, then i've made it my word. Either way it perfectly describes the Christmas mood. =)

Badass Shell Ejection

I didn't get to go to the Saw Range to take this picture but one of the other soldiers got some good shots. There is nothing quite like the sound of a Squad Automatic Weapon peeling the next round off the ammo belt and simultaneously sheering the brittle links holding each precious cartridge together. Now imagine discharging several thousand rounds of ammo through that beautiful machine. Its a surreal experience that can only be compared to some kind of exotic sex. Anyways I think im getting distracted from the point. This is a badass picture of two soldiers in Task Force Pueblo. I think one is Farish and the other is Wallace. I can spot those BCG'S from 23 clicks. Well im done with this post for now, I might come back and add more shots but until then.

Feel Like a Million Bucks

I don't think I every touched base on what I did for Thanksgiving. I put in for 6 days of leave so I could go home and see my family. Got to hang out with my brothers and waste them on Halo 2, which I might add is one of the most beautifully designed games out there right now. We had fun, basically we just ate and watched TV and hung out. I also got to go to Fayetteville and hang out with my good friend Heath, IM glad that he hasn't changed a bit. He's fun to hang out with. Also I went house shopping while I was home. I found the place that I want and now IM just going through all the mind-numbing paperwork that is associated with anything bank related! I think IM getting signature cramps from signing too much paperwork. LOL =D "Uh doctor, I've been having a lot of problems with my hands cramping up. Any Ideas for what would cause this?" "Are you getting a house mortgage, or anything else banking or financially related?" "Why yes, IM getting a mortgage" "MY GOD, you have signers cramp, we need to operate immediately or you could be crippled for the rest of your li.. this week." That's probly a little exaggerated but hey there's nothing wrong with being a little dramatic from time to time. Well IM out for now, wish me luck on the house and everything. Carpe Diem>>

Company Expansion

This is a professional shot that I took for my friend Julie. I have known her for many years. She is aspiring to be a model so I have taken her under my companies proverbial wing. I'm going to help her attain any goals that she wants to meet. I don't mind devoting resources to this project because i believe we can be sucessful with her modeling career. Just don't forget me when your at the top, ok Julie? Lol

Forgive Me Father

Forgive me father, for I have sinned, it has been 33 days, 13 hours, 37 minutes and 15 seconds since my last post! Well lets see how can I break 33 days down into something coherent and understandable thing that the average every day reader can relate to? Fuck it, I'm just gonna wing it and pray that you'll interpret what I'm saying.

In October I flew to Kansas and kicked it with my friend Kenny. He's probably the most trusted friend I have, he's always been there for me and I couldn't ask for anymore than that. We had fun, mainly we picked on his friend Darcy. She was a riot! And yes Kenny she did remind me of a mini-me Vicki. It was nice to get away from the base for a while and have fun, I helped (watched) kenny put a lift kit on his truck, I didn't get to see it finished but I'm sure that it looks pretty fucking sweet!

After the Kansas trip I found out my little bro (Daniel) was diagnosed with cancer. That threw me for a loop, I'm not sure what desultory force in the universe worked its wronging on my brother, but it shouldn't of happened. He is too healthy to have problems like that. But... He has been treated, and the cancer has returned to the crestfallen beyond to which it better stay if it knows what's good for it. And then not more than 2 weeks later my littlest brother (Brian) runs his car off a bridge! He is also ok and doing just fine, if not just a little more sapient from his brush with disaster.

I can't wait for Thanksgiving, if all goes as planned, I will be able to go home for a few days and spend some time with my family. I'm not looking forward to the drive though. =/

Also I have posted one of my most recent pictures. I've been doing a lot of photography lately and I really enjoy the art. The picture below is the tip from a blue erasable marker. =)

Audacieux Prime

Well it's suppose to be my day off but in the course of things somehow I got screwed out of it. A General from Arkansas is here checking things out, so everyone has to be ship shape! It's really stressful with all the "brass",to coin a term, around. The General walks around asking everyone how their doing and if they like it here. And for these moments everyone forgets how much they hate this place and just nod, they are too afraid to speak truth for fear of repercussions from our local command. It will be their loss for not taking the opportunity to make things right here.

Field of Mops

I know, I know, I take pictures of weird things, but the mops looked pretty neat with the macro lens. I might be going a little insane with the camera, but i wouldn't have it any other way.

Crisp Colors

I love the crisp colors in this picture! It looks surreal.

Army Times Soldier

I forgot to post this cool picture of my brother, his picture was taken for the "Army Times" newspaper. Daniel has been in Iraq for about 7 months now. I can't wait till me and him are done with our missions so we can get back to the real world. Come home safe bro! Peace out.

Electric Razor Road

I don't know why I took this picture, but it's strangely interesting and again simple! I just wish I had a better camera to take macro shots with. I will be posting some more later on today. =)

Tangled Beauty

I've been taking a lot of macro pictures lately, I love simplistic pictures that just stand out at you.

The Propensities of Man

When you think about the unbound hatred human kind can render upon itself it makes you think about the direction we are taking ourselves as a civilization. How are we suppose to know if we crossed the line if no one drew the line to cross? It's only going to get worse as we go, and as the planet gets more crowded. And the violence of man has not necessarily increased over our period of existence, we merely have better means of informing everyone else of what is going on in any part of the world. So instead of being left in the dark on all the death and destruction, you get to see it everyday in the media! And right now my little brother is fighting the war in Iraq because our President wants us to believe that's part of his war on terrorism! Iraq wasn't even a threat to us until we went over there, and now we aren't even fighting Iraqis, we are fighting all the terrorists from other nations that hate Americans, we have given them easy access to us by walling ourselves up in Iraq. Maybe my opinions are wrong, or even warped because my brother is over there. But the fact is it was pointless, we haven't found anything over there dangerous as far as WMD'S go, don't get me wrong, I'm GLAD we got Saddam, but at what price, seeing as how he had no means to harm us? Anyways I'm getting too mad to talk about this anymore right now. "Show Bush the Door In 2004"

At least photography and art calms me down. As long as you can still find beautiful and mysterious things to take your mind off the propensities of man your doing alright.

Shades of Gray

I found this neat picture of me I had edited in Photoshop a long time ago. I remember thinking that it would of made a cool movie poster! My graphic design skills have increased immensely since that picture. I will most likely post more of my work later on. And Daniel, hope your doing ok over in Iraq! Do me a favor, bring me the keys to Saddam's Porsche. LOL Peace out little bro!

Hell On The Prairie

I've undoubtedly decided that this post that I am resigned to until the end of my homeland security mission, is my own special HELL! Every time I think that I may have underestimated someone for their ability to make an ass out of themselves I am proven wrong. The insanity that comes from this quaint post is made of a few ingredients and here is the list. (Just in case you want to make your own)

First you start with a big place with nothing around it, this shall be your melting pot so to speak. Then gather all your ingredients!

Ingredients:
Double Standards - 3 Cups
Un-Necessary Rules - 2 Tablespoons
Harassment - 1 Cup
Rank bullying - 10 Cups
I AM GOD Syndrome - 100 Cups
Un-Realistic Deadlines - 4 Cups
Pointless Inspections - 2 1/2 Cups

Just add a few assholes in the mix and your ready to bake at a desert temperature of 110 Fahrenheit. Let the whole mess set after you bake it, give it about six months to cool down. Then you really have that taste of insanity that you've always wanted.

This has been "Cooking you a Better Hell" with PFC Justin Kelsey.

Sweet Sweet Nectar

I did get to meet and hang out with Laura, I mean Lora, yes even her name is cool because its Laura with an O. She is completely outstanding! We bowled 2 games and I won both of them with low scores. I think she let me win! =P LOL
Lora is silky smooth cool and beautiful, and when I found out she has an Xbox I almost lost it completely. Cue the music (I think I love you, but what am I so afraid of.....And so on)

But anyways the night went great, and that euphoric feeling has turned into a permanent euphoria, and I am forever emblazoned in the warmth of beguiled wonderment!

>>Carpe Diem>>

Cool Modded Pic

I was toying around with a simple little program editing one of my pictures when I came up with this cool effect using a stamp filter! I think it looks neat.

Fast and the Curious

Tonight I met up with some streets racers, I had seen a group of about 25 to 30 cars in a parking lot and I decided to see what was going on. The guy I met said they had set up this meeting in a forum online. I thought that was pretty cool, street racers putting the net to use for their pride racing needs! LOL! Anyways there was a little trash talking and a lot of challenges on the table. I got to see 5 races, it was quite an adrenaline rush even though i wasn't even racing! My friend Ashley was with me through all this although she said that she felt invisible since most of this was "guy stuff" and nothing she would really like to conversate about. But that's ok shes still a little sweetie. I should go to Applebee's right now and bug her at work! =) Peace Out

IV's for You and Me

Well i'm done with my Combat Lifesaver Training and very relieved. Apparently I passed with flying colors. I'm not sure if it's something that I would like to do on a day to day basis, but I assume it's good to have the knowledge to save lives. I think the hardest task for me to complete on the course was starting an IV on a patient. I have a deep rooted fear of needles and I thought I was going to be pretty shakey during the process, but thanks to a few tips from my dad and the courage of the poor Sergeant that let me train on him, everything went quick and painless. The medics giving the class were impressed with the confidence i had over the situation. All in all I can say it was an interesting experience, yet I still have some fears to conquer when it comes to needles I think this was a big step in overcoming my weakness. Hey little bro if your reading this, "Kick ass in Iraq, and watch your F****** Back" LOL! Peace out!

Boondock Saints

Well last night I was planning on getting some sleep but some of my friends wanted to watch the Boondock Saints in the day room. I thought I had seen the movie before but i was wrong, and it was a very good movie! I didn't get to finish it all, I had to get some sleep, but im sure Farish will let me borrow it tonight. But seriously I can't believe I haven't seen this movie before, because its really an oustanding flick! Still tired, so i think i'll take a nap. Peace Out.

Sealab 2021

This is just a quick post for me to explain my appreciation for Sealab 2021! That show rocks, and If you haven't seen it yet then your missing out. I just got done watching it, jesus its the most hilarious show. It comes on Adult Swim Cartoon Network usually around 10:00pm! SEALAB 2021 YOU ROCK!

550 Watts of *poof* (Nothing)

This morning I woke up, swaggered over to the computer, and turned on the monitor, and *poof* nothing happened. Immediately i tore open the service door and began troubleshooting the various components. I got it narrowed down to the power supply, I think. Anyways thats just one more thing for me to stress about. But at least if everything goes right this week I'll be able to fly to Kansas to hang out with my friend Kenny. For now I just got to get through this Combat Lifesavers Course! I better start studying for it. Goodnight.

Winding Down

Well its the end of the day, its chilly outside, and I keep wondering why I have to take the combat lifesaver course this thursday. Im not ready for it and I have a big fear of needles! I don't feel like im qualified to give someone an IV. But thats all insubstantial because the military can do whatever it wants. We shall see what comes of this quick upcoming crisis. Anyways, hey Bro i know your not having any fun over in Iraq but things will get better and you'll be back home soon. Just hold out until then! =)
